Situated 50 miles west and south of Aberdeen and Inverness between the Ladder Hills and the Cairngorms, the Allargue Arms Hotel is a friendly informal local hotel situated in the village of Corgarff, overlooking the historic Corgarff castle, within the boundaries of the Cairngorms National Park. The hotel has seven letting rooms, plus a 6-bed bothy/bunkhouse. Their chef has a wealth of experience in traditional and modern cuisine and the menu incorporates the best of local produce. The hotel has its own six mile stretch of the upper Don, offering excellent fishing for wild brown trout and the occasional salmon towards the end of the season. A wealth of other activities are readily available in the area, including hillwalking, mountain biking, prehistoric monuments, skiing at the Lecht ski centre and many distilleries and castles. Located on the famous 'Castle Trail', the Allargue Arms serves as a great base from which to explore many of the North East's major historic sites.
