General Information:The cabins at Gala Fjellgrend are situated in beautiful mountain surroundings, and enjoy views of Valsfjell. Best of all, the cabins are right at the heart of Gala's activities both in summer and winter. The cabins consist of two semi-detached units of 61 m2, which have two bedrooms sleeping a total of four people. The sofa-bed in the living room sleeps a further two people. The perfect 'cocoon' for one or two couples or a small family. Locations: Gala is situated in the Gudbrandsdalen valley, about halfway between Trondheim and Oslo, roughly a 3-hour drive from Oslo Gardermoen Airport. Turn off the E6 at Vinstra (coming from the north) or Harpefoss (from the south), from where it takes approx. 20 minutes to drive up into the mountains. Area Details:Gala Fjellgrend is situated in the cultural center of Norway, close to the spectacular Winter Olympics area and within easy driving distance of fjord country (summertime) and the glaciers. This all-year resort offers total relaxation and a variety of seasonal activities from downhill and cross-country skiing to bicycling, fishing, horseback riding, canoeing, and hill-walking. Recreations:In addition, this resort has a library with books available in several languages, a front desk that is open 24 hours a day, and a full compliment of activities. Available at the nearby Gala Hotel are a fitness room and an outdoor heated pool-- for summer only, of course-- and tennis and a restaurant, and there is even golf not far away. You will find that most of the hotel's amenities are available to timeshare guests, and you may enjoy the restaurant there that specializes in the best of Norwegian cuisine. Rooms:The kitchen has a dishwasher, cooker with oven, microwave, fridge and freezer.
